Privacy Policy · Learn Computer Basics Offline
Version 1.0.3 · Last updated: May 2026SmartByte stores your reading progress, quiz scores, XP points, badges, and profile information locally on your device using AsyncStorage.
The only data sent to the cloud is your leaderboard display name, country flag, profile image, and XP score — used solely to display the Global Leaderboard feature. No other personal data is collected or shared with third parties.
When you set a profile picture and join the Global Leaderboard, your profile image is uploaded to Firebase Cloud Storage (Google LLC) to display alongside your leaderboard entry.
If you do not join the leaderboard, your profile picture remains stored locally on your device only and is never uploaded to any server.
SmartByte uses Firebase, a service provided by Google LLC, for the following features:
Firebase may collect anonymous usage data and device identifiers as described in Google's privacy policies.
SmartByte displays advertisements provided by Google AdMob. AdMob may use your device's advertising ID to show relevant ads and measure ad performance.
You can opt out of personalised ads at any time: Settings → Google → Ads → Opt out of Ads Personalisation.
SmartByte participates in affiliate advertising programmes including the Amazon Associates Programme and may participate in similar programmes (such as Daraz Affiliate) in the future.
